Stuart Price - 27, is a Grammy Award winning musician, songwriter, producer, remixer and DJ whose output is as consistent as it is broad.

Signing his first record deal whilst still at school, Stuart got busy releasing records under two band names:

'Les Rythmes Digitales' his one man band have released two albums, the understated & atmospheric debut Liberation and the genre defining Darkdancer (1999) which is frequently name checked as hugely influential on the records that followed, being recognized as the first Electroclash release, using 80's influenced sounds with contemporary beats.

'Zoot Woman' is Stuarts' other band where he works alongside brothers Adam and John Blake to produce a more classically constructed and less dance floor orientated set of songs. Again there are two albums to boast about, 2001's Living In A Magazine and 2003's self titled 'Zoot Woman'.

In 2001 Stuart became Madonna's Musical Director for her live shows & has subsequently directed the Drowned World Tour (2001) & the Re-invention Tour (2004). Between gigs Stuart and Madonna found time to sit down together and co-write the song X-Static Process which is featured on 2003's American Life album. He has remixed for her and has just finished co-writing and producing her forthcoming album Confessions On A Dancefloor.

Other production credits to date include two tracks on the 2005 New Order album Waiting For The Sirens' Call, producing and co-writing P Diddy's Lets Get Ill which was a UK top 20 hit in 2003 and Virgin act 'Juliet' whose debut album (release in Summer 05) was co-written and produced by Stuart.

As a remixer Stuart is equally prolific, in the past two years remixing for Madonna, The Killers, Placebo, Beck, Missy Elliot, Gwen Stefani, Goldfrapp, Electric 6, Depeche Mode & Scissor Sisters amongst others. His Starsailor remix of Four To The Floor went to number 1 in the singles chart in France and also was also added to the Australian album release due to public demand.

No Doubt have benefited from Stuarts studio skills as he teamed up with Nellee Hooper to make their recent hit It's My Life Stuart, under his Jacques Lu Cont guise, produced a remix of this track, which went on to win a Grammy in 2005 for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.

Additionally, Stuart has provided music for a number of TV ad campaigns:

*

Citroen motorcars famous "dancing car" ad (Euro RSCG Agency) – Worldwide
*

Rimmel cosmetics 2004 - TV campaign featuring Kate Moss (JWT agency) – Worldwide
*

Sunny Delight soft drink – Worldwide
*

Olympus cameras 2005 – TV campaign – North America
*

Kodak cameras 2003 - TV campaign (Ogilvy Agency) – Europe.

He has recently provided music for the US cult TV show CSI (CBS) as well as catching the ear of satirist Chris Morris who tracks from Liberation in the hit UK black comedy TV series "Jam".

His jaunts around the world Djing under the pseudonym "Jacques Lu Cont" ensure he never loses touch with what it is that moves a crowd, enabling him to continue to write music which is both appealing and original.
